Kane Brown Celebrates Close Bond with Lauren Alaina

Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina: A Lasting Friendship

Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina share a deep friendship that surpasses their musical collaborations. Recently, while co-hosting Country Countdown USA with Lon Helton, Brown opened up about their special bond, referring to Alaina as “my little sister.” This highlights the familial connection they’ve developed over nearly a decade.

Musical Collaborations

The two artists first teamed up on the hit duet “What Ifs” in 2016, which became a multi-platinum success and earned an RIAA Diamond certification. Their friendship has grown alongside their careers, and they continue to support each other in their musical endeavors.

Latest Collaboration: “Never Been In Love”

When asked about his latest contribution to Alaina’s music, Brown expressed how effortless it was to work with her. He recalled that Alaina sent him her song and simply asked for a favor in return after he featured on her previous album. “It was real simple. She sent me a song. She said, ‘I did a song for your album, you gotta do one for mine.’ I loved the song,” Brown shared.

About the New Song

Brown revealed that recording his part for “Never Been In Love” took only 30 minutes, showcasing how smoothly their collaboration goes. The song, co-written by Alaina, Ashley Gorley, and Ben Johnson, will feature on her upcoming album, Stages, set to release on August 28. This upbeat country love song captures the emotions of two people who realize their past experiences with love pale in comparison to what they feel for each other now.

Alaina’s Inspiration

In discussing the song’s inspiration, Alaina shared that her current relationship with her husband, Cam Arnold, has profoundly changed her perception of love. “When you find true love and happiness, you realize how much you never had it in past relationships,” she explained, reflecting on her journey to finding real love.

Looking Ahead

Alaina expressed excitement about their collaboration, noting how far they’ve come since their early days together. Both artists are now married and navigating family life while continuing to pursue their music careers. Alaina’s upcoming album, produced by industry veterans Joey Moi and Ben Johnson, promises to explore significant moments in her life, including her experiences in Nashville and starting a family.

Future Projects

As for Kane Brown, he has confirmed that a new album is on the horizon, although details about its release remain under wraps. He has a few upcoming performances in the U.S. in 2026 before heading to Australia in January 2027.
