At the age of 41, country artist Dustin Lynch is fully relishing the single lifestyle. He acknowledges that while having a partner to share life’s experiences would be wonderful, he is also appreciating the liberties that come with being unattached.
In a recent conversation with Country Countdown USA, Lynch discussed his new album, Clean Slate, and expressed a deep personal connection to the title track. The song delves into themes of seeking a new beginning, emotional recovery, and the solace that comes from companionship during challenging times.
Although Lynch did not contribute to the songwriting, he felt as if the creators had him in mind when they wrote the track. “I feel like it was written for me. I heard that song and it punched me in the gut,” he shared. The emotional weight of the song resonated with him, as he reflected, “The number one thing I miss is sharing my life with someone. However, do I want to feel that pressure right now? My mom loved that song and asked me many questions about it.”
Lynch understands that timing is crucial when it comes to finding the right partner. For now, he is fully embracing his independence. “Timing is everything. While it would be nice to have someone to share this with, I know that being single allows me an abundance of freedom. I’m packing in as much fun as I can each day without the responsibility of someone else’s needs. I recognize that’s a bit selfish, but that’s my current situation,” he explained.
When he’s not on the road performing, Lynch is busy living life to the fullest. He shared with Country Countdown USA that he aims to take at least one major international trip each year. This year, he visited Argentina and already has plans for 2027. “Argentina was incredible. We did some hiking and fly fishing. I plan to return. Next year, we’re off to South Korea,” he announced. “We’re looking forward to ice climbing and enjoying some fantastic food there.”
Before embarking on his South Korea adventure, Lynch will head to Mexico for Luke Bryan’s annual event, Crash My Playa. He is excited about his upcoming Pool Party and has already begun organizing the details. “I’ve got the 2027 setlist ready and the theme figured out. We haven’t revealed it yet, but fans will hear about it soon. They get creative with costumes, which inspires our music selection. Many fans return every year, and I’ve formed friendships at Playa since the early days,” he added.
Lynch’s new album, Clean Slate, is currently available, and packages for Crash My Playa are still up for grabs. His journey as a single man is both liberating and filled with adventure, as he continues to explore life and music.
