On the evening of July 28, during her Cloud 9 Tour, Megan Moroney faced a challenging moment when she had to prematurely conclude her concert at Ball Arena in Denver after only three songs due to health issues.
After performing “Stupid,” “Medicine,” and “Bless Your Heart,” Moroney took a moment to address her audience, explaining her condition.
“This is obviously the last thing I ever want to do, but I am extremely sick and I thought I did everything to make myself better,” she expressed to the audience. “I just can’t perform tonight, but I promise I’ll make it up to you. I want to give you the show you deserve, and now I’ll probably go cry in my dressing room.”
As she spoke, gasps of concern echoed through the arena, with fans quickly rallying around her with words of encouragement like, “We love you!” Overwhelmed with emotion, Moroney wiped away tears as she continued speaking.
“I’m really sorry. This is my worst nightmare, and I promise I’ll make it up to you all. I love you, and I’m truly sorry,” she assured her fans before exiting the stage.
Later that night, Moroney took to Instagram Stories to share her feelings about the difficult decision to cancel the show, stating it was the hardest choice she has ever made. She also confirmed that the Denver concert has been rescheduled for August 27.
Moroney reassured her fans that all tickets purchased for the original concert will be valid for the new date. Those unable to attend the rescheduled concert can request refunds at the point of purchase.
“I will return on August 27, and I am really sorry for the disappointment,” she wrote, emphasizing her commitment to delivering a complete performance.
Megan Moroney’s next performance on the Cloud 9 Tour is scheduled for August 1 at the Moda Center in Portland, Oregon. The U.S. leg of the tour is set to conclude with the rescheduled Denver date on August 27. Following this, Moroney will take the Cloud 9 Tour overseas, with performances planned in Norway, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, France, and the U.K.
