Mafia: The Old Country Will Be Enhanced for PS5 Pro on Launch Day

2K Games and Hangar 13 have officially confirmed that Mafia: The Old Country will receive PS5 Pro enhancements when it launches on 8 August 2025.

Previously unclear from trailers, this confirmation clarifies what players can expect from the upgraded PlayStation 5 experience.

According to the game’s official social media accounts, Mafia: The Old Country will feature:

Higher dynamic resolution in both Quality and Performance Modes
VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) support
120Hz display support on compatible TVs

The PlayStation Store has also added a “PS5 Pro Enhanced” label to the game’s pre-order page.

Performance Gains Over Base PS5

On the standard PS5, Performance Mode targets 60fps on average, which may include occasional dips. The PS5 Pro version is expected to deliver smoother performance and a notable resolution boost across gameplay modes.
