Highway Home Debuts with ‘No More Drinkin’ Songs’ EP

Introducing Highway Home

If you’re just becoming acquainted with Highway Home, the country music trio made up of Eamon Owen, Conner Sweeny, and Stanton Langley, get ready for an exciting journey ahead. Their first EP, No More Drinkin’ Songs, released today, is an ideal introduction to their unique sound, influences, and the dynamic chemistry that distinguishes them.

The Journey Begins

Their story started with three friends who were each pursuing their own musical paths before realizing their mutual passion for country music was something worth exploring together. Coming from Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia, respectively, they met in Nashville’s vibrant Music Row scene and officially formed their group in 2024.

Crafting Their Sound

Since then, Highway Home has made significant strides in the industry, quickly growing their fanbase. Their musical style is heavily influenced by country hits from the ’90s and early 2000s, combining nostalgic elements with a contemporary vibe, highlighted by their signature three-part harmonies.

What to Expect from Their EP

Their six-track debut EP, No More Drinkin’ Songs, offers fans a deeper understanding of Highway Home’s essence. Produced by Ryan Gore, the EP reflects on youthful memories in tracks like “Never Grow Up,” reinterprets the classic honky-tonk vibe in the title track, and navigates the emotional highs and lows that have shaped their musical journey.

Defining Their Musical Identity

During an interview, the trio discussed how they would describe their sound to new listeners. Stanton explained that their music is rooted in the nostalgic country of the late ’90s and early 2000s, yet infused with a modern flair. Eamon added that their love for that era influences their songwriting process, making it a natural outcome.

The Formation of Highway Home

Before coming together, each member was working solo, playing at writers’ rounds and various gigs. They quickly realized there was a gap in the market for a trio sound, which led them to unite their talents. The name “Highway Home” was inspired by Interstate 20, which connects their home states.

Experiences on Tour

Having opened for artists like George Birge and Ashley Cooke, they gained invaluable insights into the industry. Eamon noted that observing how different artists run their tours and engage with audiences has been instrumental in shaping their approach as they look forward to headlining their own shows.

What’s Next for Highway Home

Fans can expect a diverse range of songs on their EP, showcasing each member’s individual influences. Conner expressed excitement about the tracks, particularly “Another Morning,” which highlights Eamon’s unique style. They aim to connect with their audience and evolve their sound based on fan feedback.

Final Thoughts

Highway Home is committed to fostering connections with their fans, emphasizing their down-to-earth nature. They hope to continue refining their sound while also ensuring their music resonates with listeners, making this journey an adventure filled with authentic experiences.
