During a pivotal episode of NBC’s The Voice, 15-year-old Allie Rae delivered an impressive rendition of Lainey Wilson’s “4x4xU”. Her performance not only showcased her vocal talent but also highlighted her growing confidence and captivating stage presence.
As the competition intensified in Cut Week, which is known for its significant eliminations, Allie Rae faced the pressure head-on. The stakes were especially high, with host Carson Daly announcing that more than half of the contestants would be leaving the competition that night.
Rae’s performance did not go unnoticed. She impressed the coaches with her ability to hit challenging high notes while maintaining a commanding presence on stage. Kelly Clarkson expressed her amazement, stating, “Oh my gosh, girl, you are 15 years old. That is crazy. Regardless of what happens right now, you are so far ahead of the game, you are going to be incredible.”
Allie Rae’s coach, Riley Green, was equally enthusiastic about her performance. He praised her talent and likened her to a country music legend, saying, “Allie Rae, I loved it. Everything about it was great, like a little mini Reba. You’re so fierce. We got to see the best version of you in that performance.” He also reflected on her growth since her blind audition, noting her impressive development in such a short time.
As the episode concluded, the competition narrowed down to just 12 contestants, with Allie Rae being one of the artists at risk of elimination. However, her journey isn’t over yet. She is competing for the title of Cut Week Favorite, allowing fans to vote for her and potentially secure her spot in the next round. Only one of the 16 remaining artists will advance to join the Top 12 as the show progresses to the Live Shows.
Fans will have to tune in next week to find out which artist will be selected to move forward. Daly confirmed that the results will be revealed during the upcoming six-week Live Shows, set to start on November 9 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
