From her early days of performing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” in hotel lobbies at the tender age of two to her journey in Nashville as a passionate artist, KIANA has always used music to express herself.
Hailing from Colorado and raised in Nebraska, KIANA grew up immersed in a blend of country and pop music, influenced by her parents’ varied tastes. Her mother, a fan of country music icons like Alan Jackson, and her father, who preferred doo-wop and modern pop, provided her with a rich musical background. At just two years old, she began singing, astonishing her family with her talent despite not coming from a particularly musical family.
KIANA’s first trip to Nashville in the eighth grade was pivotal. This visit, inspired by a school project and her mother’s suggestion, opened her eyes to the possibilities of a music career. After experiencing vocal lessons and the vibrant music scene, she was inspired to pursue her dreams further.
Upon moving to Nashville at 18, KIANA faced the overwhelming nature of the music industry. It was a time of excitement but also of challenges as she navigated her newfound independence while trying to establish herself in a competitive environment. Despite the struggles, she found a supportive community at Belmont University.
After taking a break from Nashville for several years, KIANA returned with renewed confidence and clarity about her artistic direction. This transformation allowed her to embrace her identity as an artist and convey her life’s experiences through her music more authentically.
Set to release on November 20, her EP titled Jump features heartfelt tracks about love, heartbreak, and personal growth. Songs like “Why Do I Stay?” and “Fixing You” showcase her powerful songwriting and vulnerability, offering listeners a glimpse into her journey.
Through her music, KIANA aims to inspire listeners to find hope, even in difficult times. She believes in viewing life positively, and her songs reflect that sentiment. As she prepares for the upcoming release, she expresses excitement for the future, hinting at a more upbeat and fun direction for her music next year.
Fans can look forward to a deeper connection with KIANA as she continues to share her story through her music, with a promise of growth and more of her personality shining through in future projects. Stay updated on her journey by following her on Instagram.
