Tucker Wetmore Celebrates CMA Nomination and Future Plans

Tucker Wetmore’s Remarkable Year

Tucker Wetmore has had an extraordinary year, starting 2026 on a high note with his hit single “Brunette,” which soared to the top of the charts. Following this success, he took his “Brunette World Tour” across the U.K. and Europe, performing to enthusiastic crowds before returning to the United States for a series of sold-out shows. In the spring, Wetmore achieved another significant milestone when he was honored as the ACM New Male Artist of the Year.

Continued Success and New Releases

Since then, Wetmore has kept up his momentum, launching his “Sunburn Mixtape” in July and achieving further success with his latest single, “Who Told You That,” which continues to rise on country radio charts.

Recognition at the CMA Awards

Recently, Wetmore added yet another achievement to his impressive repertoire by securing a nomination for New Artist of the Year at the 2026 CMA Awards. This recognition is particularly meaningful for Wetmore, who expressed his gratitude for being able to pursue his passion daily.

“I was overjoyed. I feel incredibly fortunate to do what I love every single day,” he shared backstage during the CMA Foundation’s 10th Annual Music Teachers of Excellence event. “To have an organization like the CMAs acknowledge my hard work and artistry is truly fulfilling. It makes me feel valued and embraced by the community, and I can’t wait for the awards night.'”

Looking Forward to a Break

With his tour wrapping up and only five shows left in 2026, Wetmore is eager for some much-needed relaxation. While he will celebrate at the CMA Awards, he also has plans for a getaway to an island, where he intends to disconnect after a hectic schedule.

“I’m definitely planning to visit the islands and just unwind, maybe even toss my phone into the ocean and disappear for a while. That’s the goal!” he laughed.

Upcoming CMA Awards Ceremony

Before his vacation, Wetmore looks forward to the CMA Awards, where the winner of New Artist of the Year will be announced during the 60th Annual CMA Awards. He will be competing against Avery Anna, Carter Faith, Emily Ann Roberts, and Steven Wilson Jr.

The event, hosted by Lainey Wilson, will be broadcast live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 18, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+. It will also be available for streaming on Hulu the following day.
