Renowned country music star Travis Tritt is currently facing health challenges as he battles pneumonia, leading him to postpone or cancel several upcoming performances while prioritizing his recovery.
The beloved artist, known for hits like “Help Me Hold On,” recently announced changes to his concert schedule. He had to shift two performances that were set to feature his daughter, Tyler Reese Tritt, as the opening act. The show in Macon, Georgia, has been rescheduled to April 22, 2027, while the Charleston, South Carolina, concert has been moved to November 14, 2026.
At 63 years old, Tritt shared the news of his pneumonia diagnosis, revealing that he had been unknowingly suffering from the condition for weeks. He expressed his concern, stating, “I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week. It turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past two weeks, but I didn’t know it because I’ve never had it before. I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish.”
In a recent update, Tritt informed fans that he would regrettably be unable to take the stage at the Country Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland, this weekend. His absence from this much-anticipated event, where he was slated to perform alongside artists like Lainey Wilson, Rascal Flatts, and Miranda Lambert, has disappointed many fans.
Additionally, Tritt’s concert in Richmond, Virginia, which was originally planned for Saturday, October 3, has now been rescheduled to Thursday, November 12. Tickets purchased for the original date will remain valid for the new date.
While Tritt’s fans await his return to the stage, many have expressed their support through social media. Messages of encouragement flooded his recent posts, with one fan commenting, “Rest and feel better. Maybe the body is saying slow down a little bit, you gotta have rest.” Another wrote, “I had tickets last weekend and this weekend for Country Calling. But it’s ok as long as you get better. Pneumonia ain’t no joke. Your lungs being healthy is the most important thing.”
As per his official website, Tritt’s next scheduled performance is set for Sunday, October 4, in Erie, PA, at the Warner Theatre. He has a series of shows lined up for October and plans to wrap up his touring for the year in mid-November. Fans remain hopeful for his swift recovery and return to the spotlight.
