At 63 years old, the beloved musician explained that he had been feeling unusually weak and sluggish, only to discover he had been battling pneumonia for weeks without realizing it.
In his own words, Tritt stated, “I’m sorry to report that I was diagnosed with pneumonia earlier this week. Turns out that the pneumonia was actually present for the past 2 weeks, but I didn’t know it, because I’ve never had it before. I just knew I felt a bit weak and sluggish.”
Exciting Return to Performing
In a recent Instagram video, Tritt appeared to be in high spirits as he announced his return to touring this weekend, where he will perform three major shows to conclude the year. His first show is scheduled at the Grand Theater in Durant, Oklahoma on Thursday, October 15, followed by a performance in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, October 16. He will wrap up the weekend with a special appearance at the Boots for Troops concert in Stagecoach, Texas on Saturday, October 17.
He expressed, “It’s been a rough go, but I’m finally back good enough to where I feel like normal again…we’re looking forward to being out.”
