At the time, doctors urged his wife, Mary Travis, to consider ending life support. However, Mary refused, saying she could see he was still fighting.

“And I knew at that point in time, because he had every odd in the world against him, and he wasn’t giving up,” she explained. “He was my inspiration.”

Her determination paid off. Over the years, Randy has made remarkable progress, finding new ways to connect with fans. Today, he travels with a show that celebrates his legendary career, using AI to recreate his voice while fellow musician James Dupré performs his songs live.
