For Dickerson, making s’mores has been a beloved tradition since childhood. He recalls camping trips spent with his father and friends, cherishing those moments by the fire and thinking, “Could life be any better?”

Now, as a father himself, he has developed a deeper appreciation for those simple yet profound moments. Whether on tour or at home, evenings spent by the fire with his children have become some of his most treasured experiences.

“These days, it’s about our fire pit with our kids. Watching them run around the woods while we make s’mores is priceless. They don’t even realize these are the best memories of their lives. The sun setting, fire crackling, and s’mores roasting—that’s living right there. After shows, we do s’mores with the band. Just zoning out by the fire while roasting marshmallows is the perfect way to unwind post-show,” he shared.

Celebrating National S’mores Day

Inspired by these moments, Dickerson has partnered with Hershey’s to encourage families to cherish traditions that bring them together. In anticipation of National S’mores Day on August 10, he celebrates the nostalgic treat that has created lasting memories across generations, urging fans to slow down and appreciate life’s meaningful moments.

Keeping It Classic

While there are countless ways to reinvent the classic treat, Dickerson prefers the straightforward combination of toasted marshmallows, graham crackers, and Hershey’s milk chocolate. “If it’s not broken, don’t fix it,” he remarked.

Join the Debate

He invites fans to join Hershey’s “Heated Debate” to pick sides: Team Toasty or Team Gooey. Regardless of the outcome, Dickerson believes a s’more is incomplete without Hershey’s chocolate. “I often double up on the marshmallow and the chocolate. It’s like making a perfect sandwich with peanut butter and jelly. That’s the ultimate RD s’more!” he explained.

Family Life and Tour Insights

As he enjoys precious moments with his two boys, Remington and Radford, Dickerson anticipates welcoming his third child. He reflects on how fast they are growing and the changes that occur each time he returns home from touring. “Remington has transformed from wanting to dress as a cop to now being obsessed with baseball. We’ve signed him up for his first team this fall,” he noted.

Currently on his RUSSELLMANIA Tour 2026, Dickerson appreciates the family-friendly atmosphere his shows have fostered. “Families are coming out, kids are dressed in wrestling gear, and it’s created a vibrant culture around the tour,” he shared.

Like the serene nights spent roasting s’mores, Dickerson recognizes the importance of appreciating each moment. Whether he’s making memories with his kids or performing for thousands, he is determined to savor these experiences. “It’s often hard to realize in the moment, but these are the days that matter. Every night on stage, I remind myself of how far we’ve come. From playing for 25 people to now performing for 25,000, I give it my all. What more could I ask for?”
