Ronnie Dunn Provides Health Update After Hospitalization

Ronnie Dunn’s Health Scare Before Concert

Fans were understandably worried when Brooks & Dunn shared a video revealing that Ronnie Dunn, aged 73, had spent time in the hospital just a day before performing at Memorial Stadium in Clemson, SC, where they joined Morgan Wallen on his Still The Problem Tour.

Vocal Health Concerns Addressed

Dunn took the opportunity to inform fans about his recent visit to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he sought help for some vocal issues he had been facing the week prior. Initially fearing that he may have damaged his vocal cords, he was relieved when doctors reassured him that this was not the case but diagnosed him with bronchitis instead.

Sharing His Experience

In the video, Dunn candidly shared, “I don’t feel too good tonight. Went to Vanderbilt yesterday. I struggled a little bit last week. Thought I maybe injured my vocals cords. They said I didn’t, but I got a touch of bronchitis.” Despite his condition, Dunn remained upbeat and humorous.

Feeling Under the Weather

Despite his humor, Dunn admitted that he wasn’t feeling his best and preferred to avoid social interactions, which was unlike him. He remarked, “I think my blood sugars off or something…having bronchitis is driving me crazy.” The video captured him and his duo partner, Kix Brooks, as they made their way to the stage, engaging with fans along the way.

Lighthearted Moments

Maintaining a light-hearted tone, Dunn joked about his hydration needs, saying, “They said hydrate, and I’ve been drinking stuff all day, and I’m pretty sure I’m going to pee my pants onstage.” He humorously acknowledged that even if he had an accident in front of 75,000 fans, he would still go through with the performance.

Successful Performance and Support from Fans

Despite feeling unwell, Dunn and Brooks were able to deliver another successful show on Wallen’s tour. After their performance, Dunn reassured viewers, stating, “I’m alright. I’m over-hydrated” and confirmed that he had indeed not had any on-stage accidents.

Fan Reactions and Well Wishes

Support from fans flooded the comment section, with many sending their best wishes for Dunn’s recovery. Comments ranged from praise for his performance to concerns about his health, with one fan expressing, “You’re a trooper Ronnie!” and another sharing, “Feel better Ronnie!!🎸🎤” Many fans emphasized the importance of his health, urging him to take care of himself.
