Riley Green Juggles Music, Acting, and Coaching on The Voice

Riley Green’s Busy Career

Riley Green, the celebrated country music artist, is currently navigating a whirlwind of professional commitments. With a demanding touring schedule, new music to compose, acting roles, and his recent position as a coach on The Voice, he faces the challenge of balancing it all.

Finding Balance Amidst Chaos

In a conversation with Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music Country, Green opened up about the pressures of managing his time between filming for The Voice and performing live shows. He candidly admitted, “The problem now is I am doing too much and I know it, and it’s hard to even really explain to people.”

A Long History of Touring

Green’s busy lifestyle isn’t new; he has been on the road for years, performing countless shows. However, the situation has become more complex as he juggles not only music but also acting. Last year, while on tour, he filmed his part in the CBS Yellowstone spinoff, Marshals, which debuted in April 2026. Now, he is back on tour while simultaneously filming The Voice.

Constantly on the Move

“I’m literally working every single day. I fly to L.A. to film from Sunday to Wednesday, then I fly back to perform over the weekend,” Green shared. This hectic schedule has made it difficult for him to focus on songwriting. Yet, he has learned to adapt to this busy phase. He acknowledges that he must prioritize quality over quantity in his music.

Adjusting to a New Normal

Although Green has paused his songwriting, he utilizes his busy schedule by jotting down song ideas and recording voice memos. “Everybody in music probably struggles with this; music suffers a little bit when you get spread too thin,” he reflected. Nevertheless, he tries to maintain a creative mindset, even during hectic times.

Looking Ahead

Green anticipates a slower pace around Thanksgiving, which will allow him to devote time to songwriting. Historically, he has managed to write up to 10 songs in a week during less hectic periods. Although most of his songs are self-penned, he remains open to recording tracks written by others.

Conclusion

As Riley Green continues his journey on The Voice and embarks on his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, fans can witness his growth and dedication. He aims to balance his many roles while delivering the quality music his audience expects.
