In a recent episode of This Past Weekend with host Theo Von, country artist Riley Green opened up about various aspects of his life, including his burgeoning career, his latest album, and the complexities of his dating life. During their conversation, Von inquired whether Green envisions settling down soon, to which the singer revealed that forming a genuine connection has become increasingly challenging as his career takes off.
Despite the assumption that fame might make it easier to meet women, Green shared that his experiences tell a different story. He explained that his hectic touring schedule and rising stardom limit his opportunities for organic encounters. “I mean, I can’t meet someone at a concert; I’m usually stuck in the back on a bus. And social media? It’s hard to discern genuine interest when meeting someone online,” Green noted.
When he does venture out, Green prefers to keep a low profile to avoid drawing attention, especially on nights when he wishes to relax and feel normal. He expressed discomfort and anxiety in crowded places, particularly bars, fearing he would become the focus of attention when he’s trying to unwind.
Green’s lifestyle is characterized by constant movement, with a farm in Alabama, a home in Nashville, and an ever-busy touring calendar. This hectic pace makes it difficult for him to establish the stability necessary for a serious relationship. “I could take a break to feel more settled, but my career is just gaining momentum, and I can’t slow down now,” he explained.
With a slew of new opportunities this year, including his acting debut on Marshals, co-hosting CMA Fest 2026, and joining The Voice as a coach, Green is focused on maximizing every chance that comes his way. He believes there will be a time to slow down and prioritize life outside of music, but for now, he’s committed to his grind.
Joining the cast of The Voice alongside icons like Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine is a significant milestone for Green. He landed the role by simply being himself during auditions, showcasing his humor and personality. He recognizes the rarity of this opportunity in country music, stating, “There’s only a handful of country artists who have been coaches on the show. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance.”
While Green acknowledges that he may not be the most recognizable name among the coaches on The Voice, he sees this as a chance to reach new audiences. “Most of my fans are country music enthusiasts, and I’m aware that I’m not as well-known in this space. But this exposure will help me gain new fans, which is exciting,” he shared. Currently, he’s also on his Cowboy As It Gets Tour, which runs through December.
