Riley Green Delivers Fiery ‘Change My Mind’ at CMA Fest

Riley Green’s Captivating Performance at CMA Fest

Country music enthusiasts watching from home enjoyed a memorable moment from Riley Green when his performance of “Change My Mind” aired during the CMA Fest presented by SoFi, an ABC special that showcased highlights from the four-day festival.

Memorable Moments at Nissan Stadium

Taking place at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium, Green’s performance radiated his signature charisma as he delivered the beloved song to an enthusiastic audience. The Alabama-born artist effortlessly engaged fans with the song’s flirtatious lyrics and relaxed vibe, solidifying its status as a fan favorite from his album, Don’t Mind If I Do.

Lyrics that Resonate

Co-written by Green, Erik Dylan, and Randy Montana, the chart-topping track illustrates the complexities of a tumultuous relationship, where the protagonist struggles to move on despite declaring an end. With lines like, “Girl, the second that you lose that dress / that’s the second that I second guess” and “I kinda like when you wreck everything and change my mind,” Green provided the audience with a raw and genuine performance.

Co-Hosting Duties

In addition to his on-stage performance, Riley Green took on co-hosting duties for the event alongside Lara Spencer from Good Morning America. Speaking with Country Now, he shared his vision for the night, aiming for a fun and light-hearted atmosphere rather than a serious tone. Green remarked, “I think it’d be really tough for me to be the serious guy. I think I’ll probably have to go with a goofy guy from Alabama, which I play pretty well.”

Broadcast Details

His performance was featured in the CMA Fest Presented by SoFi broadcast that aired on Thursday, June 25 at 8/7c on ABC, with streaming available on Hulu the following day. The concert also included performances from a variety of artists such as Bailey Zimmerman, Blake Shelton, and Tim McGraw, among others.

SoFi’s Role at CMA Fest

SoFi made history by becoming the first-ever broadcast presenting sponsor and Official Bank of CMA Fest, partnering to promote financial independence through music. This collaboration highlighted memorable performances, including Deana Carter and the live debut of Shaboozey’s new single, “Cowgirl.”

Looking Ahead to 2027

Fans can look forward to the 54th CMA Fest, scheduled for June 10–13, 2027, where country stars will return to the stages around downtown Nashville.
