RaeLynn and her spouse, Josh Davis, are officially ending their marriage, as confirmed by Country Now. The country music artist filed for divorce on June 8 in Davidson County, Tennessee, according to court records.
In a heartfelt message shared with Country Now, RaeLynn expressed her feelings about the decision. She stated, “After much thought and prayer, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce. This has not been an easy decision. As a working mom, I am committed to giving my daughter the love, stability, and support she will need while we navigate this next chapter together. I am grateful for the love and encouragement of my family, friends, and fans, and I respectfully ask for privacy as we move forward with grace and compassion.”
RaeLynn and Josh’s relationship began in 2012 when they first crossed paths at a church event. Initially friends, they soon realized their connection was deeper. Their romance blossomed after attending a friend’s wedding, leading to them dating shortly thereafter.
In 2015, Josh proposed to RaeLynn following a scavenger hunt across Nashville, ending at Belmont University where he popped the question. The couple celebrated their union on February 27, 2016, in a ceremony in Franklin, Tennessee, attended by nearly 300 guests, including notable figures like Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
About a year into their marriage, Josh joined the military, which brought its own set of challenges. RaeLynn often spoke about the unique difficulties faced by military spouses, highlighting the sacrifices required and the emotional toll of long separations. “You can’t talk to your significant other all the time. There’s the fear of when they do deploy, of not seeing them again and that underlying fear of just hoping that they’re okay,” she previously shared with People.
In 2021, the couple welcomed their daughter, Daisy Rae, born on September 8. RaeLynn joyfully announced her birth, stating, “Babies are truly a gift.” Fans have enjoyed watching Daisy Rae grow through RaeLynn’s social media updates, where she often shares moments from their life together. Daisy has also become a common presence on RaeLynn’s tours.
