Dolly Parton’s niece, Rebecca Ann Seaver, who is also the executive director of the upcoming Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum, has revealed that additional versions of the beloved Dolly Dolls will be launched in 2027.
On September 15, three limited-edition Dolly Dolls were released through a collaboration between Dolly Archive and Integrity Toys. These dolls—Dreamin’ in Gingham, World on Fire, and Diamond in a Rhinestone World—celebrate Dolly’s iconic style and are presented in a 1:6 scale.
The Dreamin’ in Gingham and World on Fire dolls were available in limited quantities online through the Life of Many Colors Museum, but they sold out within hours. Meanwhile, the Diamond in a Rhinestone World doll is exclusively available for in-person purchase at the museum, which opens its doors on September 29.
Seaver noted the enthusiastic response from fans and acknowledged the disappointment of those who couldn’t purchase the dolls in time. She reassured fans that more designs are on the way, stating, “This initial drop was a test run, and it was a huge success. We have more designs ready for next year.”
Some fans questioned whether the dolls accurately captured Dolly’s likeness. Seaver explained that the intention was not to replicate her exact appearance, but rather to embody a glamorous aesthetic. “Dolly wanted these dolls to reflect her in a glamorous package,” she said. “Even if they don’t look exactly like her, we believe they still capture her essence.”
Upcoming releases will include “Dolly-ized versions” of the dolls, reminiscent of earlier collections from as far back as 1977. Seaver shared her vision for these dolls was to reflect Parton’s latest era, particularly inspired by her recent album Rockstar.
The Diamond in a Rhinestone World doll features a dazzling white suit adorned with silver rhinestones, inspired by a pre-recorded performance that fans have yet to see. The museum will also showcase this virtual concert experience for visitors.
Seaver conceptualized the Dolly Dolls to coincide with the museum’s opening, receiving Dolly’s approval before her passing on August 25. Reflecting on this project, Seaver shared, “Seeing Dolly interact with the dolls was one of the most special moments of my life. It’s bittersweet to commemorate her legacy this way.”
During the grand opening of the museum, attendees will have the opportunity to purchase the Diamond in a Rhinestone World doll, along with a limited number of World on Fire and Dreamin’ in Gingham dolls set aside for the event.
Fans eager to secure future Dolly Dolls can sign up for updates on upcoming releases through the museum’s official channels.
