Shelby Springall, the reigning Miss Iron County 2026, has captured the spotlight with her exceptional talent performance at the Miss Utah 2026 pageant. Paying homage to the legendary Queen of Country Music, Dolly Parton, Springall delivered a distinctive speed painting act that resonated with the audience.
Springall’s video performance has garnered widespread acclaim online. Dressed in a dazzling hot pink jumpsuit adorned with rhinestones and silver fringe, she exuded the glamorous essence of Dolly Parton.
In a pre-recorded segment, Springall introduced her act, explaining that she would create a portrait through speed painting while a sped-up version of Parton’s classic “9 to 5” played in the background. As the music filled the venue, she skillfully painted and danced, showcasing her artistic talent under the competitive pressure.
At first glance, her canvas appeared to feature merely a series of abstract black lines, topped with a hot pink signature. However, as the song concluded, Springall astounded the audience by flipping the painting to unveil a stunning silhouette of Dolly Parton, complete with her signature elegantly inscribed at the bottom.
The crowd erupted into cheers, celebrating her remarkable skill as she took a bow and exited the stage. Reflecting on her experience, Springall shared, “Oh how I LOVE being a speed painter. There’s nothing like watching a blank canvas turn into something meaningful in just 90 SECONDS. I couldn’t go without honoring my fellow sparkly blonde gal, Dolly Parton.”
When asked about her talent, Springall revealed that she is a self-taught artist who drew inspiration from another TikTok user, @mypie. “I saw her do her Michael speed painting and just knew it was something I had to learn!” she recounted.
Springall emphasized that Dolly Parton was the ideal person to honor during her showcase, as she embodies qualities of kindness, generosity, and sparkle. “As one sparkly blonde to another, this piece meant so much to me, and getting to bring it to life on the Miss Utah stage is a moment I’ll never forget,” she added.
Springall was crowned Miss Iron County on August 11, 2025, during the Iron County Fair and continued her reign into the 2026 season before competing in the Miss Utah pageant from June 18 to June 20.
