Renowned Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart has forged a new friendship with rising country star Zach Top while participating in Top’s Cold Beer & Country Music Tour.
Stuart recently took to social media to share his excitement with fans, posting a collection of photos highlighting their experiences together. He commended Top and his band for their dedication to preserving traditional country music.
In his post, Stuart enthusiastically declared, “Hear ye – Hear ye – A word from the Kingdom of Twang – My announcement is… let the universe flip, fly and flop because I have a new pal and his name is Zach Top. It only took about 30 seconds once we finally met and shook hands.”
As the duo spent time together, Stuart quickly developed admiration for Top, known for his hit song “South of Sanity.” He expressed his appreciation for their shared passion for authentic country music.
“Zach invited me and the Superlatives to join him and his hard-hitting orchestra on his current Cold Beer and Country Music Tour. I’m telling you – for anyone who loves real deal country music, Zach and the boys along with the Superlatives is a box of musical dynamite that knocks the cobwebs out of anybody’s town,” Stuart remarked. “Unapologetic twang – backed by the Archangels of Hillbilly Heaven.”
Stuart also revealed that he and the Superlatives will perform three more shows with Top this weekend in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Grand Rapids, Michigan. He encouraged fans to come out and experience the exciting performances.
Zach Top has been gaining attention since his country radio debut with “Sounds Like the Radio” in 2024. He subsequently propelled his hit “I Never Lie” to the top of the country charts, earning a loyal fan base drawn to his traditional country sound.
Top is currently nominated for Album of the Year for his work Ain’t In It For My Health and Male Vocalist of the Year at the upcoming 60th Annual CMA Awards. His accolades also include winning Best Traditional Country Album at the 68th GRAMMY Awards, making him the first recipient of that category, as well as being named New Artist of the Year at the 59th CMA Awards and New Male Artist of the Year at the 60th ACM Awards.
