Logan Crosby Celebrates One Year of Sobriety

Logan Crosby Reflects on His Journey to Sobriety

Emerging country artist Logan Crosby proudly marks a full year of sobriety, taking the time to share the transformative moment that altered his life forever.

Celebrating a Milestone

In a heartfelt Instagram post, he expressed his disbelief and gratitude, stating, “one. f*cking. year. sober. i cannot believe i’m saying that out loud.”

A Life-Changing Morning

Crosby took fans back to the pivotal day of September 8th, recalling the dismal state he found himself in just a year ago. He described waking up on the floor at 6:45 AM, still dressed from the night before, clutching a vodka bottle while the lights remained on.

“What I didn’t want to do that morning was get up and walk to my bathroom. I didn’t want to look in the mirror. Not because I looked bloated and tired… but because I was faced with the reality of the mess I created,” he reflected. “I was staring at someone I truly despised, someone I didn’t recognize.”

A Glimmer of Hope

This unfortunate state was not an isolated incident; it had become a regular occurrence. However, that morning proved different. As he regained consciousness, a flicker of hope sparked within him, leading to a life-altering decision.

“While I held an empty vodka bottle in my right hand, in my left was a quiet, stubborn piece of hope. I’m so grateful I didn’t let it go,” he shared.

Finding Meaning in Life

As he gathered himself, Crosby found solace on his balcony, clutching a cup of coffee as he began to piece together the previous night. Surrounded by the sounds of life awakening around him, he was struck by the realization of the chaos alcohol had caused.

“I thought to myself, ‘there’s gotta be more…’ A year later, I chuckle at that moment because there truly is so much more,” he remarked.

A Year of Growth and Joy

Since that turning point, Crosby has embarked on a remarkable journey. He characterized the last year as one filled with beauty, significance, and excitement, though it hasn’t been without its challenges.

“I’ve shed more tears this past year than I ever expected—not out of sadness, but from finally experiencing emotions I used to numb. Every moment, from visiting family to watching friends succeed, now feels like a precious gift rather than an obligation,” he noted.

Gratitude and Encouragement

As he concluded his emotional reflection, Crosby expressed deep gratitude to those who supported him throughout his journey. He acknowledged the importance of the community that helped him hold onto hope.

“I love you more than I can express. You helped me nurture that small piece of hope until it blossomed into something remarkable,” he wrote.

He also offered encouragement to others who might be struggling, emphasizing that “there is a way out, you deserve a life you don’t have to escape from.”

“Today, I choose life. And with God’s grace, I’ll choose it again tomorrow and the day after that. Life, life, life — and so much more life. God is so, so good,” he concluded, signing off with his signature phrase, “tell your mama I love her, bye.”
