Lauren Alaina is opening up about her feelings of thankfulness as her newest single, “All My Exes,” featuring Chase Matthew, rises to No. 4 on the country radio charts.
In a recent “Get Ready With Me” video shared on social media, the country music artist shared insights into her 15-year journey in the industry. She took a moment to reflect on the nearly nine years that have gone by since her last No. 1 hit as a lead artist. Although she has enjoyed significant success as a featured artist on collaborations like “What Ifs” with Kane Brown and “One Beer” with HARDY, Alaina admitted that the path toward achieving another No. 1 single has sometimes felt challenging.
As “All My Exes” continues its ascent on the charts, Alaina expressed deep appreciation for her fans who have supported the song. “I don’t even know what to say,” she remarked while preparing for a performance. “I’m so excited about this song. I’m so grateful for what it’s done for my career. I mean, I’ve been in this industry for 15 years. My last number one was ‘Road Less Traveled,’ which came out nine years ago. That song has opened so many doors for me and given me opportunities I never imagined. I’ve been releasing music, hoping to have another chart-topper, and it’s been nine years since my own song achieved that.”
With “All My Exes” now positioned at No. 4, Alaina can sense a No. 1 spot within reach. The Georgia native shared how much this success means to her, reflecting on a childhood dream that has remained a driving force in her career. She encouraged others to keep pursuing their ambitions, no matter how distant they may seem.
“For this song to be in the top four and to be so close to number one, I’m just incredibly thankful. As a child, all I ever wanted was to hear my songs on the radio. It has always been a priority for me. We’re on the brink of another number one, and that would be unbelievable,” she stated. “Nine years is a long time to wait for something, and now I’m so close to making that dream a reality. I’m just really grateful. Thank you to everyone for supporting this song. Country Radio, I appreciate you playing it. I’m proud of this collaboration with Chase, and he truly enhanced the song.”
As she continues to celebrate the success of her song on the radio, Alaina noted that this milestone feels even more meaningful as she balances her career with her responsibilities as a wife and mother to her daughter, Beni Doll. “Having this song perform well while I’m raising my daughter is incredibly special to me,” she shared.
Alaina concluded her message by encouraging anyone with a dream to persist, stating, “If I had given up over the past nine years, I wouldn’t have this moment now. I wouldn’t have fans at my shows singing this song. Thank you all for believing in me. Let’s see how far we can take this in the coming weeks!” In her social media caption, she urged fans to call their local radio stations to request “All My Exes” in hopes of propelling it to No. 1.
“All My Exes” is part of Lauren Alaina’s latest album, Stages, which is available now.
