Lainey Wilson Shares Updates on Marriage, Music, and Hobbies

Lainey Wilson’s Summer Update

Lainey Wilson has shared an insightful update with her fans, reflecting on her summer and recent life changes since her wedding.

Life as a Newlywed

In a recent video posted on social media, the country music sensation relaxed on her porch while connecting with her audience. She acknowledged it had been a while since her last update, and excitedly shared the significant happenings in her life, including her marriage and newfound appreciation for life’s quieter moments.

“Life has been hectic, but in the best way,” she expressed. “I’ve gotten married. I am officially a wife, which still feels surreal to say. Getting used to calling someone my husband took a bit, but now I find myself asking, ‘Husband, where are you?’ It’s been wonderful to settle into this new phase and enjoy each other.”

Wedding Details

Wilson and her long-term partner, Devlin “Duck” Hodges, exchanged vows on May 10, 2026, in Dickson, Tennessee. Since their marriage, she has been busy touring with Chris Stapleton, performing alongside him and his wife, Morgane, each evening.

Exciting Career Developments

In addition to her personal life changes, Wilson has experienced thrilling moments in her career, notably her collaboration with John Mayer on the track “Phone, Keys, Wallet.” She recounted how this unexpected partnership came to be and shared her thoughts on working with the iconic artist.

“I have admired John for quite some time. Honestly, I had no idea what to expect when working with someone of his caliber, but I was delighted to discover that we share a similar musical style,” she noted.

Wilson met Mayer while they were both recording at the same studio in Los Angeles. After she played him a song from her phone, Mayer offered to contribute to the track.

“That was our first encounter. Those spontaneous moments are invaluable. Spending time with him and developing a friendship has encouraged me to pursue feelings over perfection, which is challenging but rewarding,” she shared.

Finding Joy in Simplicity

This new chapter in Wilson’s life has also allowed her to embrace a slower pace. When she isn’t performing, she enjoys horseback riding and has recently taken up bird watching.

“I was actually doing some bird watching earlier, which might sound amusingly old-fashioned, but it’s turned into one of my favorite activities,” she mentioned. She added, “Listening to the birds reminds me that there are countless melodies waiting to be discovered. Keeping an open heart and mind can lead you to them.”

Gratitude for Fans

As she concluded her heartfelt message, Wilson expressed her appreciation for the unwavering support from her fans throughout her journey.

“I just want to say I love you all. Thank you for allowing me to live this incredible life, for your support, and for growing alongside me. I hope you’re finding joy in simple moments, and wherever you are, take the time to appreciate the birds, sunsets, and loved ones that make life so beautiful.”
