During a recent performance at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium, Lainey Wilson made a young girl’s dream come true by inviting 10-year-old Rylee Clark to join her on stage to sing ‘4X4XU’ in front of a large crowd.
Rylee, who has spina bifida, was accompanied by her mother, Casey Clark. Casey shared with WLWT5 that Rylee’s condition “doesn’t hold her back,” thanks to her positive attitude. The Mayo Clinic describes spina bifida as a condition resulting from improper formation of the spine and spinal cord, ranging from mild to severe disabilities.
On the day of the concert, Rylee and her mom made a sign that read, “This is my first concert I want to sing ‘4x4xU’ with you.” Their plan was a success. When Lainey noticed the sign, she approached Rylee, who was lifted up by her mother to meet Lainey face-to-face.
Lainey had been following the sign throughout the night and asked Rylee if she liked the song. Rylee enthusiastically replied, “I love that song.” Despite the large audience, Rylee showed no signs of fear and was ready to sing.
“It’s your time to shine. Want to say hi to everybody?” Lainey encouraged Rylee, who greeted the crowd with a cheerful, “Hey y’all.” The two then sang ‘4X4XU’ together, harmonizing beautifully and captivating the audience.
After their performance, Rylee expressed her overwhelming happiness, saying she was “about to start crying tears of joy” but only felt a “little nervous.” Her mother, Casey, was filled with pride during the performance, stating it was a moment she would treasure forever.
Casey later took to Facebook to share videos and photos from the event, capturing the magic of Rylee’s first concert experience. She expressed her joy writing, “Words can’t describe last night, other than unforgettable! I’m so glad I got to be there with her.”
Reflecting on this memorable experience, Rylee wanted Lainey to know, “I want her to know she let me live my dream.” This heartwarming moment was not just a performance; it was a celebration of courage and dreams coming true.
