Kenny Chesney has shared exciting details about his upcoming 21st studio album, Silver Sands Marina, by unveiling the complete track list. This highly anticipated collection features collaborations with notable artists and is set to be released on September 25.
The 11-track album marks a significant new phase for the country music icon. Chesney expressed that the album evolved organically, as certain songs emerged and indicated they belonged together. As the narrative unfolded, so did the clarity of the album’s vision.
Chesney remarked, “It’s interesting how albums reveal their identity over time. Silver Sands Marina found its shape when we discovered the title track along with a few others. Recording the last three tracks made me realize that crafting songs is much like dealing with a persistent rock in your shoe; it needs to feel just right for it to resonate.”
With the recent success of his Top 10 country radio single, “Carry On,” and the reflective title track, Chesney aims to create a project that explores authenticity and the beauty of life’s ups and downs.
He shared, “Some tracks will be fresh to listeners, while others might evoke nostalgia. There are deep cuts, upbeat tunes, and some that will bring a smile. Ultimately, I want these songs to celebrate the joy of being alive, even on challenging days.”
Throughout his extensive career, Chesney has witnessed the profound impact of music. He believes that sometimes, simply turning up the music and singing along can be the best remedy for life’s challenges. “Whether you’re happy, angry, or sad, music has a knack for uplifting our spirits. It may not erase our problems, but it certainly lightens our hearts,” he added.
After completing his second residency at the Sphere, Chesney is set to return to TalkShopLive for a special discussion about Silver Sands Marina. During this event, he will delve into the album’s creation, highlight key tracks, and engage with fans from the No Shoes Nation. The show is scheduled for July 30.
