Jon Pardi and his spouse, Summer Fawn Duncan, recently revealed their decision to divorce just months before their sixth wedding anniversary. The announcement was made through a joint statement shared on social media on July 3, where both expressed their reflections on this significant life change.
Despite their separation, the couple emphasized their dedication to co-parenting their daughters, Presley Fawn, aged 3, and Sienna Grace, aged 2. Their joint message stated, “After much thought, we have made the difficult decision to end our marriage. Our daughters will always remain our highest priority, and we are committed to moving forward with love and respect as co-parents.” They also expressed gratitude for the understanding and support they received during this time.
Following the divorce announcement, Jon took to Instagram to inform his followers that he would be stepping back from social media to focus on his family and personal well-being. “While I navigate this next chapter, I’m going to take some time away from social media to focus on myself and my family. Thanks to you all for the love and support,” he shared.
Summer, on the other hand, returned to the platform a few days later to share her thoughts. She acknowledged the public nature of their lives but expressed her intention to keep certain aspects private. “This has been a very difficult and deeply personal time for our family. While so much of our life is shared online, there are parts of it that I’ll always choose to keep private, especially something as difficult as this,” she stated.
According to court documents, Summer filed for divorce on May 12 in Tennessee, citing irreconcilable differences and listing May 11 as their separation date. She requested spousal support and sought to be the primary residential parent of their daughters.
The couple first crossed paths in May 2017 through a blind date arranged by mutual acquaintances. Their love blossomed, leading to an engagement in 2019 at Nashville’s iconic Ryman Auditorium during Jon’s Heartache Medication Tour. They married on November 21, 2020, at Saddle Woods Farm in Tennessee, after altering their original wedding plans due to the pandemic.
Even amidst the divorce, Jon Pardi remains committed to his music career, with performances scheduled soon after the announcement. His next show will be on July 8 in Cincinnati, OH, followed by an appearance at the Cowboys Music Festival in Calgary on July 11.
