Following an exhilarating 10-day trip to Japan with his wife, Caleigh, and wrapping up his extensive 39-stop THE COUNTRY! COUNTRY! TOUR, HARDY is now turning his attention towards fresh music.
In a recent discussion with Lon Helton on Country Countdown USA, HARDY expressed enthusiasm about the new tracks he has been crafting, describing them as some of the finest he’s ever penned. While he kept details about the release schedule under wraps, he hinted that the new material will likely connect with audiences due to its thematic resemblance to his previous successful work.
“I’ve been in the studio, writing diligently. I’ve created around six to eight of the best songs of my career. They are all included in this upcoming album. I’m really looking forward to sharing it,” HARDY stated. “I’ve developed a concept that echoes something I’ve done before, which was quite well-received. There’s a lot of new music coming soon, and it’s better than you might expect,” he added.
In an exciting twist, HARDY also disclosed that he’s been collaborating with fellow country artist Kane Brown, hinting at a project that might surprise fans. “I’ve been writing some tracks with Kane. Without revealing too much, we have something underway that could be released at some point,” he teased. “We’ve spent time in the studio together and are definitely working on something,” he said, leaving fans eagerly anticipating more information.
This Thursday, HARDY received a nomination for the CMA Awards for his song “McArthur,” which he co-wrote alongside Eric Church, Morgan Wallen, and Tim McGraw. During his conversation with Helton, he reflected on the inspiration behind the song and the collaborative effort that made it a reality.
“In a writing session, one of the writers suggested we explore a narrative about a family passing down their farm through generations. It all came together seamlessly. I took a chance and sent it to Eric, who quickly replied with interest. The same went for Morgan. We then shared it with Tim, and the rest is history,” he recalled. “We were fortunate.”
“McArthur” is competing for the title of Musical Event of the Year at the upcoming 60th Annual CMA Awards. The event, hosted by Lainey Wilson, is set to take place live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Wednesday, November 18, at 8/7c on ABC and Disney+. Viewers can also stream the event on Hulu the following day.
