Country artist ERNEST has made the announcement that he will be taking a break from his touring schedule for the upcoming weeks to focus on his mental and physical well-being. He shared this decision with fans through a message on his Instagram story on August 28, citing the challenges of life on tour that have begun to affect him negatively.
In his post, ERNEST expressed, “Heyy’all. The road has been dragging me down in a bad way. From mental to physical health. I am going away for a couple of weeks to get myself and my priorities back in order.” This statement highlights the importance he places on self-care and prioritizing health over professional obligations.
At present, ERNEST is supporting Ella Langley on her “The Dandelion Tour,” which he had been scheduled to join until September 12. In his message, he expressed his gratitude towards Langley, wishing her success for her performance in Auburn, Alabama, that very night. He stated, “I want to thank Ella for having me out on tour and wishing her the BEST in Auburn tonight and the rest of the tour.”
ERNEST acknowledged that this time off is essential not just for himself but also for those around him. He expressed optimism about returning to the stage feeling renewed, saying, “I look forward to coming back better and stronger. I owe it to myself and those affected by my actions. That starts now. Love y’all.”
Before this announcement, ERNEST was slated to perform at various fairs and festivals, followed by joining Thomas Rhett’s “The Soundtrack To Life Tour,” which begins on October 1. His recent performances included a notable appearance at the iconic Red Rocks as the opening act for Ian Munisck, shortly after the unfortunate news of Dolly Parton’s passing.
In light of Parton’s death, ERNEST took to social media to share his sorrow and reflect on the impact she had on many lives. He stated, “We lost the QUEEN yesterday and I believe it took a bit out of all of us, all over the world… She will be greatly missed.” This moment underscored the emotional weight artists carry while performing and the shared experiences that connect them with their audiences.
As of now, it remains uncertain when ERNEST will be back on stage or who will fill in for him during the remainder of Ella Langley’s tour dates.
