The upcoming DOLLYFEST, a grand celebration dedicated to the life and music of country legend Dolly Parton, is set to take place in 2027. Following her passing, her estate has confirmed that plans for this remarkable event will proceed, spanning across two weekends and two continents.
Initially, DOLLYFEST was planned for January 2026 in Nashville to honor Parton’s milestone 80th birthday. The beloved artist herself was expected to headline and host this multi-artist event. However, these arrangements were postponed after she informed fans in August 2025 that health issues necessitated a break from public appearances.
In her last update, Dolly shared her need to undergo several medical procedures, which affected her ability to prepare for upcoming performances, including a series of Las Vegas concerts that were ultimately canceled. While she reassured fans that she remained committed to her projects from her home, she emphasized the importance of taking time to focus on her health.
Despite her health struggles, Dolly remained actively involved in her projects up until her passing on August 25, 2026. The expanded DOLLYFEST will now include festivities in both Nashville and London, creating a truly global celebration.
Danny Nozell, Founder and CEO of CTK Enterprises, expressed the commitment to realize Dolly’s initial vision for DOLLYFEST. “What Dolly started, we will ensure comes to life,” Nozell stated, highlighting the significance of the festival as a dream that Parton wished to see fulfilled.
Unlike traditional memorials, DOLLYFEST aims to embody the spirit and joy of Dolly’s life and career. Organizers encourage fans to celebrate her legacy in their own ways, while also allowing for a collective experience that resonates with what Dolly envisioned.
Even after her departure, Dolly’s team is dedicated to continuing various projects that were already in development. This includes unreleased music, books, and merchandise, all of which reflect her artistic vision. Notably, Dolly’s Tennessean Travel Stops opened shortly before her passing, and her SongTeller Hotel is set to celebrate its grand opening soon.
Fans can anticipate the release of Dolly Dolls and Dolly’s Cup of Ambition Coffee in September 2027, alongside the grand opening of the Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum. Additionally, the Broadway debut of DOLLY: A True Original Musical is scheduled for January 2027.
While specific details about DOLLYFEST are yet to be revealed, fans are encouraged to visit www.dollyparton.com to receive updates regarding the festival and to stay informed about the various projects honoring Dolly Parton’s enduring legacy.
