As Chayce Beckham and his wife, Ashley Britt, near their first wedding anniversary on September 24, their year has been filled with significant changes. Since their marriage in 2025, they have settled into a new home, welcomed a rescue dog, and recently found themselves caring for a litter of nine puppies.
In an interview with Country Now, Chayce shared how their journey began when Ashley found a dog wandering by the roadside about four months ago. She brought the dog, now named Sundae, home, only to discover days later that she was pregnant. Soon after, Sundae gave birth to nine adorable puppies.
Chayce described Sundae as a lovely mix, possibly a healer breed. “She’s a mutt, and we suspect she may have been abandoned in the countryside before we found her. We took her to the vet, who confirmed her pregnancy, and shortly thereafter, she had nine puppies,” he explained.
It’s no surprise that the couple quickly developed a fondness for the new additions to their family. “They’re so incredibly cute. They just started opening their eyes, and now they can actually look at you. They’re just adorable,” Chayce shared enthusiastically.
Alongside the nine puppies and their mother, they also have Tater, their own rescue dog, who is just 11 months old. Chayce humorously remarked that their home feels like an “animal rescue” at this point. “We have so many dogs. I don’t know what to do… I don’t want to keep all nine puppies. We’re hoping to start a family of our own soon,” he added.
While caring for the puppies, the couple is actively seeking loving homes for each of them. Chayce recently took to Instagram to invite his followers to reach out if they are interested in adopting. “We are looking for homes for all the pups, so if anyone is wanting one, just holler! I’ll keep an eye on my messages and get back to you,” he posted in his Instagram stories.
The couple even conducted a DNA test on the puppies to learn more about their breeds. The results revealed a mix that includes 33% Siberian Husky, 23% American Staffordshire Terrier, 22% American Pit Bull Terrier, 6% Chow Chow, and 4% Australian Cattle Dog.
Until they can find suitable homes for the puppies, Chayce and Ashley plan to keep them in their care for as long as necessary. Despite the challenges of managing so many dogs, the “Dirt Floor” singer shared that he and Ashley are doing well. “We’re getting through it, taking care of these pups, and I’m excited to focus on my music and hit the road again. It’s been a unique year, but I’m ready for what’s next,” he concluded.
