After taking a break from touring to recharge with his wife, Chayce Beckham is back in the music scene with his new single, “Dirt Floor,” which has just been released.
This marks Beckham’s first music release of the year, showcasing a shift towards a romantic and moody sound while maintaining his signature storytelling style. Co-written by Beckham, Brandon Kinney, and John Pierce, “Dirt Floor” explores the blossoming romance between two individuals who discover a profound connection.
Beckham’s rich vocal delivery complements the western-themed backdrop, perfectly encapsulating the feeling of finding the right person at the right moment. He reflects on the song’s inspiration, explaining, “It’s really about being in the right place with the right person and wanting to make that feeling last forever.” He noted the significance of shifting from writing breakup songs to creating something with a more uplifting tone.
In this latest track, Beckham introduces a fresh sound that distinguishes it from his previous work. He describes the production process as a journey of experimentation, resulting in a unique and smoky love story vibe.
Beckham views “Dirt Floor” as the beginning of a new musical chapter, with more releases planned in the near future. After a six-month hiatus, he aimed to return to music gradually, utilizing the downtime to focus on songwriting and personal reflection.
He emphasizes the importance of living a regular life to spark creativity, stating, “Just doing regular stuff and hanging out at home gives me more influence to write.” This time away from the road has allowed him to gather new experiences that shape his music.
Chayce Beckham is excited to share his new music with fans. He recently kicked off The Old Fashioned Tour, connecting with audiences across the country and cherishing the moments spent meeting fans after shows. He expresses gratitude for the opportunity to engage with his supporters and share stories, further enriching his musical journey.
