Carly Pearce’s Journey of Rediscovery in ‘Honest Woman’

Carly Pearce’s New Album: A Personal Renaissance

Carly Pearce is set to unveil her fifth studio album, titled Honest Woman. This album, consisting of 16 tracks, showcases the GRAMMY winner’s journey of self-discovery and her rekindled passion for country music. Scheduled for release on August 28 through BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, this marks Pearce’s first project with her new label following significant changes in her career.

Collaboration with New Team

During a recent chat at her label’s Nashville headquarters, Pearce expressed her excitement about her new team and the recent singles from Honest Woman, including the heartfelt tracks “She Don’t” and “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay,” a duet with Riley Green. She emphasized how these changes have reignited her initial love for country music.

Transitioning to BBR Music Group

Pearce’s professional landscape has evolved significantly in recent months. In March, she became the first artist signed by the newly established Borchetta Entertainment Group, led by Scott Borchetta. Shortly thereafter, she announced her partnership with BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, which she views as a pivotal moment in her career.

Emotional Connection to New Music

Reflecting on her changes, Pearce stated, “A lot has happened behind the scenes that people might not be aware of. I believe that God guides me, even when the path seems daunting. With this album, I feel I am exactly where I need to be, and it has come in such an unexpected yet thrilling way. Having a dedicated team that shares my vision is truly a blessing.”

Musical Inspirations and Collaborations

As she prepares for the release of Honest Woman, Pearce is more thrilled than ever. The album reflects her current life stage and includes prior releases like the poignant “Dream Come True,” the candid “Church Girl,” and the catchy “You Can Have Him.”

Pearce revealed her passion for duet collaborations, especially those reminiscent of ’90s country music. She reminisced about the magic of male/female duets, stating, “The timeless quality of sharing perspectives in a duet is something special that resonates with everyone.”

New Track Highlights

The latest single, “She Don’t,” embodies the essence of ’90s country and tells the story of a girl aspiring to break free from her small-town limitations. Although Pearce didn’t write the song, she connected deeply with its narrative, relating it to her own experiences growing up in a small town.

A Decade of Growth and Reflection

After over ten years in the industry, Pearce believes Honest Woman signifies a return to her roots and the reasons she fell in love with country music. “It has been a decade since my debut single, and through the highs and lows, I’ve rediscovered my passion for this genre,” she shared.

The album Honest Woman is poised for release on August 28, promising to resonate with fans and offer a glimpse into Pearce’s evolving artistry.
