Recently, the Georgia-born singer shared a heartfelt story about his 7-year-old daughter, Braylen Hendrix, affectionately known as Bray. This past weekend, he recounted how Bray met rising star Ella Langley, and the emotions he felt during this unforgettable occasion.

For her seventh birthday, Bray had a wish to see Ella Langley perform live. In an effort to create a memorable experience for his daughter, Gilbert reached out to Langley’s manager, someone he has known for years.
“I had heard wonderful things about Ella, and although we had met briefly at a Toby tribute, my focus was solely on Bray. I wasn’t sure what to expect,” he shared.

Gilbert noted that it’s rare to see his daughter anxious, but she was overwhelmed with excitement before meeting Langley. “Each time that door opened, her eyes widened, and it felt like time stood still. When Ella finally walked in, Bray was completely speechless and clung to my wife,” he recalled.

“I’ve seen children starstruck at meet-and-greets countless times, but it feels different when the little girl is your own. Observing Ella spend time with Bray, making her feel cherished, is a moment I’ll always treasure. Other kids were present, but Ella made sure everyone felt special,” he added.

Gilbert also praised the concert, which featured special guest Kameron Marlowe, who opened the night impressively. “The production was outstanding, the band was fantastic, and Ella’s performance was remarkable. However, the most memorable part for me was seeing my wife and Bray dancing and singing together. Bray proclaimed it ‘the best night ever,’” he noted.

After Bray’s special moment with Langley, Gilbert had the opportunity to engage in a one-on-one conversation with the artist.
