First Female Announcer for the Grand Ole Opry

Kelly Sutton makes history as the first female announcer for the Grand Ole Opry, an iconic landmark in country music. Kelly Sutton’s Reflection

Sutton expressed her gratitude, stating, “I am truly honored to be entrusted with carrying on the incredible legacy of WSM Radio. Being part of Coffee, Country & Cody for the past five years has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. Bill Cody was so much more than a coworker—he was a dear friend, a mentor, and someone who helped shape both my career and my love for this audience. Our listeners have always felt like family, and that won’t change.”

Expect Authentic Nashville Storytelling

WSM General Manager Eric Marcum shared his enthusiasm for Sutton’s appointment, saying, “Kelly’s personality, her passion for the music community, and the genuine relationships she’s built with artists and fans is exactly what our listeners connect with. We’re excited to continue WSM’s long tradition of live, local programming that connects with audiences around the world. The Kelly Sutton Show will carry on the authentic Nashville storytelling that has been at the heart of WSM and The Grand Ole Opry for more than 100 years.”
