Zach Top Embraces Fitness Routine on Tour

Zach Top’s Transformation

Zach Top, known for the hit “Beer For Breakfast,” has recently traded his morning brews for early workouts. In a candid chat with Katie Neal from Audacy, the GRAMMY-nominated country artist shared how life on the road has evolved since gaining fame, revealing that he now partakes in the very lifestyle he once found amusing.

From Skeptic to Fitness Enthusiast

During his guest appearance on the “Superstar Power Hour,” Top admitted that he has entered a gym phase he never anticipated. “I used to see guys with their gym trailers, and I would laugh at Riley Green, who had a massive gym setup while I enjoyed my beer at 10 AM. Now, I find myself in the same situation,” he chuckled.

Adjusting to Life on the Road

The Washington native humorously reflected on how quickly his lifestyle has changed since he began touring full-time. “I thought I had 10 or 15 years of partying left in me, but after just three years on the road, I’m already toning it down,” he noted.

Workout Routine with the Ladder App

Top revealed that he’s utilizing the Ladder App to assist with his fitness regimen, which adapts workouts to the equipment he has while traveling. “The app makes working out approachable. You can customize exercises based on what you have available, whether it’s a full gym or just some adjustable dumbbells,” he explained. He hasn’t fully transitioned to a gym trailer like Riley Green’s but is making do with what he has.

Finding Motivation in Results

Like many newcomers to fitness, Top confessed that exercise isn’t his favorite pastime, but the visible results keep him motivated. “The app gives you a clear structure—like knowing you’ll finish in 37 minutes—making it seem manageable. Although I don’t enjoy working out, I love the outcomes it brings,” he admitted.

A New Morning Routine

Today, Top starts his mornings differently. Instead of sipping beer, he engages in workouts before heading out with his band to explore new cities, often enjoying a round of golf. “We work out in the morning, then play golf, which is a fun way to escape the venue’s parking lot. While it seems glamorous, sitting in a parking lot daily can get mundane. It’s refreshing to get outdoors and enjoy some greenery,” he reflected.

Conclusion

Zach Top’s touring lifestyle has undergone a significant change, moving from morning drinks to morning workouts. While he may not have a full gym trailer yet, he has adapted to make the most of his time on the road, embracing a healthier routine.
