Early Wednesday, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame (NaSHOF) unveiled the nominees for its Class of 2026. Among those recognized are renowned country artists Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton, alongside the global icon, Taylor Swift.
This year, the nominees consist of 12 talented individuals who fall into two of NaSHOF’s five categories, celebrated for their remarkable contributions to songwriting.

Mark Ford, the Executive Director of NaSHOF, expressed his congratulations to the nominees, stating, “Well-deserved congratulations to all the nominees in our contemporary categories. We look forward to announcing those who will be inducted this fall as members of our Class of 2026.” Each nominee boasts at least 20 years of significant success in songwriting, showcasing their enduring influence in the music industry.
From this year’s nominees, two songwriters and one songwriter/artist will be chosen for induction by NaSHOF members, along with other professional songwriters and artists. The inductees for 2026 will be revealed in the forthcoming weeks and will officially join the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame later this year.
