The 9th annual Nashville Songwriter Awards is scheduled to take place at the iconic Ryman Auditorium on September 22. The event has announced its latest lineup of performers, promising an unforgettable evening.
Organized by the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) in collaboration with City National Bank, this prestigious event honors the art of songwriting by recognizing outstanding recipients. A diverse group of over a dozen talented songwriters will come together to celebrate their craft, sharing a night filled with memorable performances.
This year’s event will feature renowned artists Chris Stapleton, Ashley McBryde, and Steve Earle. Each of them will perform during the evening, expressing their admiration for the honorees by sharing songs they wish they had penned, alongside hits that made waves on the charts in the past year.
Other talented musicians joining the lineup include Dan Alley, Ryan Beaver, Jacob Davis, Ray Fulcher, Ben Johnson, Chris LaCorte, Chase McGill, Neil Medley, Josh Miller, Blake Pendergrass, Hunter Phelps, Bobby Pinson, Jeremy Stover, Lydia Vaughan, and Jordan Walker. More artists are expected to be added to the roster in the weeks leading up to the event.
This year’s awards will include special recognitions, with Vince Gill receiving the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award, Paul Williams honored with the NSAI President’s Keystone Award, Blake Pendergrass being named Songwriter of the Year, and Riley Green recognized as Songwriter-Artist of the Year.
Those attending will need to wait until the event to learn about the winners of the Song of the Year, the 10 Songs I Wish I’d Written awards, and the Legendary Song Award, which will be revealed during special moments throughout the evening.
The Nashville Songwriters Association International, the largest non-profit organization dedicated to songwriters, hosts this event each year to honor the songwriting community and to uphold its mission of supporting songwriters across all genres.
